Disappearance

Well, many may asked, where had i been for the past weeks? i am like suddenly disappeared, leaving this blog abandoned. Well, something happened to me last week, plus i had 2 exams last week, so i have no time and no mood to blog. anyway, everything had passed now, and yeap, i am here again!!! During the past weeks, i went for my favourite activities.

Friends who know me quite well will know that i love racing; if you do not know that then you probably don't know me well, haha...but nevermind, i am telling you, i love racing! but hey, dont misunderstand! i am a responsible driver, i only race on the racing track, never race on the road! Seriously i hate those road hog, who drive very fast on the open road, without thinking of others! Come on man, if u wanna race, go to the proper place! do the right thing at the right place! you not going to have ur meal in the toilet right? my fren, i m telling u! yes, you!

ok, back to the topic. Racing, wat kind of racing i m talking about? Open wheeler, which means, single seater, not covered race cars. example, F1, A1, GP2, Formula BMW, and kart. well, i am currently playing go-karts. I start karting since October 2007, it had been almost half a year now. Many ppl thinks go-karts are for kids, but for those who thinks so, go try for a lap or two, and i doubt u dare to hit full throttle for the first time.

For those who are still wondering what am i saying, i believe you will understand better with the images...

This is the track where my friends and i race, Speedway Plus, USJ.

There are several types of karts available in the field, but only 3 types are available for rental at the track, which are:
  1. 60cc 4 stroke Fun Kart, RM30 for 10 mins/RM55 for 20 mins
  2. 80cc 2 stroke kart, RM40 for 10 mins/RM75 for 20 mins
  3. 100cc 2 stroke kart, RM65 for 10 mins/RM120 for 20 mins

For first timer and beginner, i strongly suggest fun kart first, as it does not go at very high speed and is protected by hard metal surrounding, moreover, it doesnt require much skill in throttle control. what u do is just hit throttle to the full, and there u go, but of course, brake b4 turning.

I've enclosed some tips for the beginners based on my own driving style and some experience.
These are 60cc 4 stroke Fun Karts

Firstly, of course you must know you kart and the parts well.

The engine is on the right of your seat, so beware when u turn, it might burn u!

ok, the pedals, Brake is on the left and accelerator is on the right! Hit the one on the left to move, and hit the one on the right to stop. you know i am kidding!

Need not to explain i think, everyone knows, this is the steering.

Here are some tips for the beginners :
  1. Try to study the racing line guide first, and try hardest to remember to apex and braking point.
  2. Steer smoothly to avoid tiredness, becoz the handling is 1:1 ratio, how much u turn the steering = how much the kart will turn. This need some practices to overcome your fear, and the racing line helps.
  3. Brake earlier, to prevent spin, and also to make ur turn as smooth as u can. Slow in fast out is my driving style, u might wanna try. Ask me if u wanna know what is slow in fast out.
  4. Always keep alert on both of your sides, you don't have side mirrors on your karts. So aware of the trailing karts, to prevent crashes.

Alright lads, u r ready to go!

Anyway, these are just fun karts. My friends and I already racing the other 2 types of karts, which require more skill and practices, especially throttle control. Ok, my bad, throttle = accelerator, but throttle is the jargon. Driving these beasts isnt easy, it takes some time to get used to it, as the way of driving it will b totally different from the fun karts. I had a terrible crash last week when racing with those 100cc karts with my friends, which gave me huge impact, causing me to lost all my confidence. I wish i can overcome it the next time i play, or else, i wont be able to pursue my dream....

These are 100cc 2 stroke karts, which is very fast!!! can reach 70-80kmh i think...or maybe faster? i dont know...advise me

We are looking for more people to join us in karting, feel free to drop me a message if u would like to join. Who knows, we might form a team and take part in some competition? haha...dream. it's a dream...
